Apple Car Play und Android Auto per SW Update?

Ich weiß zwar nicht was mit "zurückkaufen" gemeint ist, wenn der Wagen aber beim Händler gekauft wird, soll der das Update einfach machen.

Selbstverständlich geht das auch selbst, warum sollte das auch nicht gehen? Nur weil der Wagen "gekauft" ist.

Versuche mal, von deinem FTH eine Software zu bekommen, die in Deutschland gar nicht angeboten wird, oder nicht zugelassen ist. Da wirst Du merken, warum...

Warum sollte man das Update nicht machen können? Der Händler kann es, über Toyota-Tech kann man es selber machen, das alles hat nichts

damit zu tun, das der Wagen gekauft ist.

Klar, Du kannst alles installieren, was über das Internet angeboten wird. Bei Problemen brauchst Du aber nicht auf Unterstützung durch "offizielle" Stellen zu hoffen.

Was auch immer das Eine mit dem Anderen zu tun hat erschließt sich mir nicht.

Wie auch immer man es dreht, es bleibt möglich, je nach Präferenz kann man das ja erledigen lassen, ich würde beim Gebrauchtwagenkauf auch

einfach darauf bestehen und gut ist, damit ist man ja dann auch auf der sicheren Seite.

Auf der Toyota-Tech Seite wird ab sofort auch die Deutsche Beschreibung bei fehlgeschlagenem Update angeboten.

missrolan: "Touch and go" means with navigation. So you will get not only the DCU device but additionally the MEU module. I think you don´t need that, as it´s got only european maps.

For the european Corolla there are two different head-units (both Panasonic). The 2019 model was delivered with MM17, which does NOT support carplay or android auto. Since 2020 model it´s got the MM19 WITH carplay and android auto.

If your ebay device does not have CP/AA, it´s the MM17. Its model-ID is something like 17TDT1EU-DA01 (01 or 02 at the end, not 31 or 30).

This device can be upgraded to MM19 with the files on USB 3 (drives 1 and 2 are only for the versions with navigation / MEU). But in some cases as in yours the upgrade fails. In this case only the dealership could help be resetting the device to delivery status.

So maybe it could be an option to send it to Toyota Motors Europe or a dealer here. I don´t know if that is a useful hint for an ebay-customer in asia.

The easiest way should be to buy a MM19. But also the most expensive I think.
